Antique Blunderbuss

  3. Appears to show a lot in common with first pattern Baker rifle. Trigger bow, rammer pipe,patch box shape and lid. The raised cheek piece and barrel keys also look like those on
    the Baker

  4. I have seen this weapon, in fact have compared it to my original first mod. Baker rifle, and original Baker carbine. This is in my opinion an original weapon, and may I add a very rare one. I suggest reading "Bakers Remarks On The Rifle", by Ezekiel Baker. He has an entire chapter on the "bursting of Blunderbusses"
    This is not a cut down rifle or carbine. It was made as a blunderbuss. Hardware was sized to stock. Lock may have been replaced, but fits the mortice nicely. A Great find !
