The flap and back of this pouch are made from pigskin. The front is made from pillow ticking that has been tin-clothed. The strap was made by Kris Polizzi. The original horn has a rosette carved into the base plug. An antique table knife has been re-purposed as a patch knife and there is a 45 grain cane measure. The flap is decorated with the image of a moon and owl.

Eric,
ReplyDeleteI have made a few hunting pouches. I am not a sewer of any kind, although, I fumbled around making the bags that I did. Your work is impressive and I find it very creative. I read the posts on the farmers pouch and was rather disturbed to see others comment without any consideration of the work done. It is very obvious you have done research and spent many hours creating the bags that you have. I am impressed and would gladly own one. Thanks for being creative and then showing the work you do. Keep up the good work.

The whole rig is beautiful and well done. Absolutely love the coloring of Kris' strap. Nicely done.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your kind words. It is an honor to have my work here alongside so many talented makers, beautiful period artifacts and great articles.
