This chip carved box is carved from a solid piece of cherry. The top is embellished with a pinwheel and the date 1762. The pinwheel has six round pieces of inlaid bone. The sides have three of the same inlaid pinwheels as well as other carved decorations at the corners and at the lower edge. The ends and the bottom are plain. Signed B H 1995. The box is 7 inches long, 2.25 inches wide and 2.25 inches deep.
