Josh Wrightsman Pistol

The execution of artistic urges and unique ideas comes to life in this latest work by the talented Josh Wrightsman. The 14 inch barrel with 1 in 22 twist was made by Don Getz back in the 1980’s and follows the lines of a hand swamped example that H. House used on his first “long-barreled” pistol. The exceptional lock, also from the 1980’s, was handmade by Bob Roller. The brilliant curly maple stock is from a tree cut near Owingsville, Bath County, Kentucky.

Symbolism abounds on the pistol, with a trigger plate fashioned in the form of an Owl and three eagles Incorporated into its artistic design. A gold inlaid signature plate with an Eagle finial sends the piece “over-the-top!”
