A New New England Composite Fowler by Ken Gahagan

This is a new Composite New England Fowler based on the architecture of an original Thomas Earl Fowler. It has very interesting lines with its straight comb and curved butt shape. Many early pieces by Earl were guns of this type with a variety of parts being used. This example is iron mounted and has a 62 caliber octagon to round 46” barrel. It has a hand forged butt plate a recycled French cloud side plate, a very early dog lock and a recycled blacksmith made gate latch converted into a trigger guard.
