Shooting Bag with Horn 19th Century

Complete single pouch deerskin shooting bag with unusual powderhorn.  Dating probably Ca. 1855-1860.  Home tanned with a high dome butted powderhorn of the same period.  The bag, strap, and horn suspension straps are complete and original.  Hand sewn with linen thread.  The fastening button is horn and original though it has been reattached with modern thread.  The bag measures 29 inches from the apex of the strap to the bottom of the bag and the bag itself measures 9 inches at the top flap and 10 inches at the rounded bottom.  The powder horn is 12 1/2 inches from the tip of the knob at the end ot the butt to the spout and the butt diameter is approximately 2 1/4 inches and is attached to the horn with brass pins.
