Pipe Stand by Eric Armstrong

My latest turned wood and horn project - a pipe stand. The tobacco jar is made from walnut and horn. The cork disk on the lid makes a nice seal. The tamper is turned from horn and brass. The base and pipe holders are maple.

I haven't bought tobacco for 40 years but needed some as a prop for my photos. I went into the local news store and (I haven't done this for a long time) asked if they had Prince Albert in a can.
They don't anymore - it's in a paper box.......
