This is a shooting bag I just completed based on the Jessie McGlemary bag in Jim Webb's book "Sketches of Hunting Pouches, Powder Horns & Accoutrements of Southern Appalachia". My strap was made by Susan Wallace out of the colors listed by Jim in the book out of dyed yarn. I've got a Jack Hubbard patch knife to build a sheath for yet and I want to attach it to the strap and find an appropriate powder horn to match up with the original Jessie McGlemary horn with a sheet iron tip, may try to build one like it someday. The bag is lightly dyed in a combo of walnut hulls and sumac berries, laced a bunch of it together with hemp twine and sewed it together with linen thread.
