Finger Woven Split Shot Pouch by Kris Daman

The woven portion of the pouch is 4 1/2" wide and the length is 13". The bead pattern is based on an original in the Chicago Field Museum. Unlike the original finger woven split shot pouches, I chose to line this one with a hand sewn linen liner that is bound to the opening with silk ribbon.

The cross is 1" x 1" and the strap is fingerwoven in the oblique weave of black wool yarn with the bead threaded on the weaving yarn. The ends of the strap were brought together and woven and the fringe is beaded. The strap is by Kris Daman
