Game Bag by Eric Ewing

No. 168:  Game Bag.  The front panel on the flap has two inserts made from alum-tanned woodchucks.  The leather is a vegetable tanned kip hide and vegetable tanned deer hide from Pergamena; steel buckle forged by The Whistling Woodsman blacksmith, hemp net.

Game Bag or Haversack by Eric Ewing

This is a primitive game bag or haversack.  The body of the bag is made from pillow ticking and lined with linen, and closes with hemp cord and river cane bands.  The flap is made from the rump and tail of an alum-tanned raccoon hide. It is worn with a pig hide belt loop.

Game Bag by Eric Ewing

This game bag is made from cowhide, pigskin and hair-on calf skin.  The netted front is made from hemp.  The shoulder strap is woven wool and has a forged buckle.  Other details include four game keeper straps with forged rings and an antique bone button for closing the top of the netted front.
