2nd Annual West Coast Horn Fair

The 2nd Annual West Coast Horn Fair will be held Friday, April 27 and Saturday, April 28, 2012 at Veterans Hall in Morro Bay, CA.

This is a good opportunity to get together with fellow horn makers, enjoy the camaraderie, learn a few new techniques, attend some interesting seminars, and have a chance to observe first hand how Steve Vance makes powder horns. Some of the topics are: Powder Horn Design, The Golden Mean and how it pertains to powder horn design and lay out, building a blowing horn, and period correct scrimshaw.

There will be many display tables set up for display and sales of horn related items and there will be seminars put on by several talented craftsmen, and there will be a good selection of polished cow horns as well, all culminating with a end of show banquet of barbecued Santa Maria Tri- Tip Roast.

Again this year, we will be having a great raffle, featuring prizes made by many craftsmen from around the country. The best part is you do not have to be present to win. Last year, over 40% of the people who bought tickets were not there. So, get your tickets now.

We have secured lodging at two different motels at reduced rates. We urge you to book early, as space is limited.

For more information go to West Coast Horn Fair. For information on the raffle prizes go to Powder Horns. This event is brought to you by John and Linda Shorb of Powder Horns and More.
