British Style Fowler by Rich McDonald

The stock is cherry and the furniture is all brass. It has a coin silver wrist inlay. The lock is a Davis, the barrel is a Getz 48" smooth bore .62 cal. I was influenced by the British fowlers pictured in Tom Grinslade's book "Flintlock Fowlers". I have built this gun to represent one made in the 1765 to 1775 era. It would have been American made from a collection of parts, which is why I chose the early Germanic style lock to go with the English furniture. R.M.
