The "Peter Mills" Wabash Crossing/Tickumsee horn is a comtemporary carved piece. A plain old cracked original powder horn was repaired and scrimshawed by T.C. Albert
The faux tag on the plug reads "Captured by my grandfather Peter Mills from Indian Shot on the Wabash, 1812.
The homespun carvings include an Indian with rifle, a standing deer, an Indian on the war path, and the inscriptions "Peter Mills, his horn", "Tickumsee" and "Wabash Crossing 1812"
