J&S Hawken by Louie Parker

The wood finish is AF and Tried and True. The barrel is blued and other metal is a grayish finish.. The overall length is a bit over 26 inches.

The rifle was copied mainly after the Gamble  family J&S.. With a little help from three other J&S rifles and maybe a bit I picked up other places.

I want to acknowledge some help I had on this project from two friends.   Howard (Gene) Kendall volunteered to do the mill work on the barrel. Which I quickly accepted.  He did a great job.  Jim Kebler went to a lot of trouble to find me the perfect piece of wood. He did a great job  also.  Without  this wood it would be a much lesser rifle.  My thanks to both of  these fellows...  Louie  Parker
