Lot consists of (A) Hunting bag with 3 heart cutouts with deerskin behind them and fringes around the bag's edges. Complete with its original strap. Shadow box measures 21 - 1/2" in height by 15 - 3/4" wide and about 3" thick, oak frame. Mounted on red felt. Bag measures about 8" by 9 - 1/2".
CONDITION: Heavy crazing and some losses to surface throughout. Deerskin has generous amounts of hair still remaining. Leather appears treated. Crack to glass with small piece missing on top right corner.
(B) Plain bag measuring 9" x 9 - 1/2" with a screw tip powder horn measuring about 13" across the bow. Original strap with iron roller buckle. Complete with an associated antler powder measure.
CONDITION: Some crazing to leather, 1 minor tear to strap. Horn very good.
(C) Tooled brown leather bag with powder horn, wood handled knife with blade made from a file, and iron adjustable powder measure. The dual cavity bag measures about 9" by 8". Remnants of fringes on bottom edge of bag. Lid and front of bag have extensive stamped hearts and concentric circles. Original strap.
CONDITION: Some minor tears, especially to strap, and some crazing. A very attractive decorated bag. From Louie Parker Collection.
