Jan Zender Trade Knife
A trade knife with a brain tanned leather wrapped handle, decorated with porcupine quills.

Art DeCamp "Penner"
The above image is of a three-piece 18th century ink horn of "penner". The bottom section holds sand for drying your ink after the letter is written, the middle section holds the liquid ink, and the top section which is long and thin holds a small quill pen.
This required a lot of trial and error to hold and turn the individual sections of horn. The bottoms in the two lower sections are separate pieces of horn that are chimed in as on a horn drinking cup. A.DC.
