Tomahawks by Ken Schwarz with Finishing and Engraving by Wallace Gusler

 

The tomahawks were all handforged by Colonial Williamsburg Master Blacksmith Ken Schwarz and hand filed and finished by Wallace Gusler. The handles are made of ash. The Hammer Pole is a close copy of the original pictured that was excavated at a site in Alabama. All three axes have steel welded into the blade for cutting.

Here is a rifle I recently finished. It has parts that I forged, including butt piece, guard, pipes box etc. Commercial (Chambers) lock & Rice .54 38"bbl.

I used my aqua fortis on the stock for the color.

Small Rifle Day Bag By Bob Dodson

This small rifle day bag measures approximately 7 1/2 inches wide by 8 inches tall. I finished this bag in a black/brown color tone with a black shoulder strap. This was a high grade piece of vegetable tanned leather that was carefully hand stitched resulting in a high end day bag.

The harness stitched bag displays a small flint pocket on the backside and is trimmed with three pieces of iron hardware. The shoulder strap is adjustable and the rifle bag and strap were hand rubbed to complete the toned surface finish.
