A Southern knife decorated in pewter. it was made in Eastern Tenn or Western North Carolina. It measures 12 1/2” long with a thin flexible skinning blade. The pewter stretches back 3 1/2” inches. The pattern is called Deer Hove, the wood is Black Walnut. Fantastic job of shaping and pouring the Pewter. There is a Tear Drop on the end. Whomever made it must have made some find rifles with Pewter poured Muzzle Caps. The blade is uncleaned and has correct patination.
