Plains Pictorial Beaded Hide Pipe Bag, c. 1870, Lakota, the soft hide bag roll-beaded at the top with one lane of beadwork descending to a lower panel, beaded on both sides, with a green and navy beaded horse and three Morning Stars on one side and the other with six green and red triangles on blue ground, with four beaded hourglass designs above the panel on each side of the bag, a long fringe from the bottom with brass bells and quill wrapping below the panel, lg. with fringe 42 1/2 in.
