Powder Horn by Billy Griner

This is a VA style contemporary horn.  The horn is about 14 inches around the long curve. The two-piece applied spout is turned from horn. The horn has one central band and 8 brass tacks to hold in the highly figured black walnut butt.  The butt is turned with the grain for maximum strength and is deeply hollowed to increase the capacity of the horn.  The finial is turned in a Turk's cap pattern.
