Hunting pouch and Powder Horn by Eric Van Alstine

I just finished taking Ken Scott's class at Conner Prairie this past week I went with a thought in mind of a backwoods pouch that had a good deal of wear on it. I was looking for that oily look only time can render a good pouch. Before I went I built a horn to fashion the pouch around. In the end the two compliment each other quite well.

The pouch is made from goat leather, with a pillow ticking insert. The repair on the horn is real...it split while inserting the sizer, but in the end it proved to be a wonderful opportunity to make a really cool repair horn.

Ken's class was informative with mastering insights from a wonderful artist.
