Germanic Hunting Bag by Eric Fleisher

I have been studying and researching the German made "Jagdtasche" hunting bags.  This shot pouch is based on the common style of bag that usually has roe deer dew claws or a hair on calf skin insert on the front flap. My version has a calf skin insert.  I scaled this bag down so that it is only 9 inches wide.  Most of the German bags seem to be 10 to 12 inches wide.  This bag has a gusseted exterior pocket on the front flap with a knotted leather button closure.  There is also a pocket on the inside of the bag.  I made the  steel rings and strap buckle. On many original examples these rings and buckles are leather covered.
