A leather document box, circa 1810, from the estate of a Confederate soldier in Cynthania, Kentucky. Contained in this box when purchased was the original handwritten diary of Brig.-General Winchester's expedition against the Ohio Indians with the Kentucky Militia in 1812. In outstanding condition with all original interior intact. 19" long, 9" deep and 7" tall
