This hand carved slate stone is from a the Virginia Slate quarry that Thomas Jefferson used for projects during his life. The stone is 1.5" thick by 2 & 3/8" high by 48' long.
This stone will be on display at the Southern Longrifle Show at Williamsburg, VA Sat. March 23rd for a closer look!
David will be demonstrating stone carving in the 18th century style at the Southern Arms and Craft Show, March 23 & 24, 2013.
