Banded Powder Horn by Billy Griner for Gary Ganus

This little Alamance Co. NC styled horn was made for a special friend.  The horn has both a sever curve and rather wicked left hand twist. It is 7 inches long and 2 inches in the butt.  It has an applied turned horn spout, one central turned band, and a turned (then, hand fitted) walnut plug. The plug is held in place with 17 brass tacks. It was requested that the horn have a home made, "use a day" look with visible marks from scraping and rasping left on the horn.
