This horn commemorates the British capture of Fortress Louisbourg in 1758. Lt. Thomas Brown of the 35th Regt. of Foot is reported as having been in the leading assault party that breached the French beach defense. HMS Namur was Admiral Boscawen's flag ship. I like Brown spelled with an e ending, seems more suitable for a British officer.
