Sterling Silver Cuff Bracelet by Emanuel Crisalli and David Crisalli

Attached are a few photos of a heavy sterling silver cuff bracelet that my Father and I made for my Mother in 1976.  A friend of my Dad bet him he couldn't hammer out a cuff bracelet with raised edges like this all from one piece of silver sheet.  You have to know my Dad, but he had it finished the next day.  I was at sea aboard a Navy destroyer and he sent the bracelet to me for "some sort of scrimshaw work to finish it off."  Not having any ivory pieces big enough to fill the large areas on the top of the bracelet, I inlaid the dark Brazilian rosewood panels and then made whale ivory inserts and scrimshawed the designs...  It took me a lot longer to do my part than it took my Dad to do his.

Copy and photos supplied by David Crisalli.  Emanuel Crisalli is 87 and still working at his bench every day.
