Hunting Pouch by Ken Scott for Bill Ruggie

This pouch is one that I made for Bill Ruggie to go with a John Barrett horn that he recently acquired. I picked up the scroll and leaf motif off the horn and applied the designs to the pouch.  The leaf pattern is prominant on the top of the flap of the pouch. The stitching along the sides and the bottom play off of the circular patterns that John had on the horn. The pouch flap is made from deer skin hair on. The pouch itself is made from vegetable tanned leather and is lined with leather on the inside of the flap and green cotton fabric on the inside back of the pouch bellows. The pouch also a pocket on the front of the bellows. Hand forged buckles allow for adjustment on each side of the strap. The horn strap is removable. it features a button attachment. The size of the pouch is approximately 9" x 10". A gusset allows for good storage.
