Broom Maker's Froe by Barry Myers with Original

The broom maker's froe is an original with my reproduction. 
 I have no idea what one does with a broom maker's froe, but I do have a friend who is a broom maker, for whom I bought the original as a gift.

    I've been making brooms for a while and I've never heard of it either.
