Tinder Lighter

This simple tinder lighter is signed Riviere and has a pistol grip; pierced stand, signed RIVIERE / LONDON on the frame...possibly Isaac Riviere active in London circa 1808 -1851*. The cup shows wear along the edge, action is excellent. 5-inches long by 3 ½-inches high.


Great patina. Got it to working, was a little reluctant to start up, but I know just how to tickle them so they come out laughing. R.W.
