Tinder Lighters

English Tinder lighter ca. 1760's signed: "Woolley"









Tinder lighter possibly English or Dutch and probably dating from the first quarter of the 18th century.

Tinder horn by David Dodds containing tinder fungus and char cloth. The sulphur matches were used as a go between from the smoldering tinder to the candle wick.
