Knife and Sheath by White Wolf

Sheath has a veg. tan cowhide inner sheath covered with tanned deerskin, light decoration (aged brass beads, aged tin cones, a stone bead and horsehair), a small medicine bundle with very old tobacco inside and a belt loop for belts to approx. 2-1/2 inches.

The knife has an antler crown (shed) handle with deerskin bolster overwrap and a drop point blade forged from an old K & J file which is 7-5/8 in. long X 1-1/4 in. wide.  An aged, copper heart is pinned to the handle.  .

Blade is differentially heat treated for a soft back, springy mid-line and tempered edge, good blade tapers and a backwoods style blade finish.

This set is tastefully aged and the blade carries my touchmark.......a heart with a W inside.

Knife and Sheath by White Wolf

3-5/16 X 1 in. wide blade forged from an old Nicholson file.  Decorative filework in the thumb position. Handle is osage orange (bow wood) and is 4-1/4 in. long.  Knife OAL is 7-11/16 in.  Handle wrap is deer rawhide sewn while wet, and has deerskin overwraps front and rear, which are treated with a special glue for durability and lifetime grip enhancement.  A solid brass tack is on both sides of the handle.

Sheath has 7 oz. cowhide core and is covered with tanned deerskin.  Decoration includes a beaded rosette (major element), collar fringe using a piece of old sail cloth, deerskin fringe, aged brass beads, a red & blue glass bead, a copper bead, a bone hairpipe, aged brass and tin cones, black horsehair.  Tastefully aged finish.

Knife and Sheath by White Wolf

Blade is forged from a section from an old Black Diamond file and is 4-3/8 X 1-1/8, filework at the thumb position, false edge on top at tip.

4-1/2 inch handle is air-dried Eastern hickory limb cut 4 years ago, shaped octagon and tapering from blade to natural limb size with bark remnants, rawhide wrap with deerskin overwrap (treated with special glue for lifetime durability) at the bolster, 7 brass nails along the edge of the rawhide and a small copper heart on handle end.   The knife OAL is 9 inches.  Feels great in the hand and is very unique.

Sheath has an inner core of 7-9 oz. vegetable tanned cowhide, a full blade welt and is covered with tanned deerskin.  The belt loop takes a 1-1/2 inch + belt.  Sheath decoration includes deerskin fringe, aged brass beads,  red glass beads, blue glass beads, a stone bead, aged brass and tin cones, horsehair and a small medicine bundle with very old tobacco inside.
