The tomahawks were all handforged by Colonial Williamsburg Master Blacksmith Ken Schwarz and hand filed and finished by Wallace Gusler. The handles are made of ash. The Hammer Pole is a close copy of the original pictured that was excavated at a site in Alabama. All three axes have steel welded into the blade for cutting.
What period did that tomahawk date from? What dig was it from? I would love to track it further.
