Engraved Whalebone Busk, 19th century, the busk with five engraved motifs heightened with red and green sealing wax: an eagle with a banner inscribed "E PLURIBUS UNUM," a wreath centered with the monogram "AEL," a spray of flowers, another wreath centered with inscription "Tho' Lost to Sight/to Memory Dear," and an urn of flowers, 14 3/8 x 1 1/2 in. 

The busk is a little warped (does not lie flat).

Scrimshaw busk with polychrome decoration, initialed "M.S.", of typical form, engraved with butterfly, dove on a branch, memorial surrounded by willows, potted flowers and a heart, all within a leaf and vine border. Prices 4 Antiques.
