Hanging Cubbards

 
Lancaster County, Pennsylvania poplar hanging cupboard, ca. 1740, the molded cornice over a single door with wrought iron ram's horn hinges, above a lower shelf with scalloped sides, retaining its original red painted surface, 36" h., 25 1/4" w., 14 1/2" d.


Rare Pennsylvania walnut hanging cupboard, ca. 1750, with a molded cornice above a raised panel door with a bull's-eye glass opening and bold wrought iron hinges, above scalloped sides and a lower shelf, 33" h., 23" w. This is one of the finest Pennsylvania hanging cupboards extant. Collection of H. Richard Dietrich.


Pennsylvania walnut hanging cupboard, circa 1765, having a cove molded cornice over a single raised astragal panel door, over a molded recessed panel drawer with scalloped apron and an open shelf flanked by cutout sides, 38.5 H. x 23.75 W.

Continental walnut hanging cupboard, ca. 1770, the arched cornice over a raised panel door with original iron hardware flanked by rounded corners above a lower shelf with scalloped sides, 34" h., 20 1/2" w.
