Eric Kettenburg After Peter Angstadt

This Eric Kettenburg rifle was featured last July, however we now have some better photo's.  This must surely be one of the finest folk art pieces done in the past 30 years. Inspired by the work of Peter Angstadt, it has both copied motifs as well as original ideas, yet it  stays perfectly within the flavor of it's original maker's style and region. The architecture  is outstanding, the carving and engraving have all the character of work done in another time, and the aging is the work of a master hand.
Overall length 59" Maple stock has artificial striping. Getz  barrel 45" .40 Cal. Flintlock is a Rifle Shoppe casting from an antique marked "Drepperd"

Collection: William Ruggie

Photo's by Robert Weil.
