This is a representation of an original Hudson Valley Fowler in its early configuration (1700-1750). Architecture is copied directly from the original while details like the lock choice and carving are from a variety of other examples. The flat faced lock is an early Dutch flat faced lock supplied by The Rifle Shoppe, the barrel is an all round 56” with an 1 3/8 breech dimension supplied by Ed Rayl. The trigger guard and side plate were sand cast using the side plate from the original and a master trigger guard made by me. But tplate hand swaged from sheet as well as ramrod pipes.
