Robert Robinson, who know by many of the CLA members as a maker of “over the top” tomahawks, has hit it out of the park this time with another really neat pipe tomahawk.
Robert Robinson is married with three children, resides in Gladeville, TN, and works at Mercedes Benz of Music City. He has been a blacksmith for about thirty years and is the current president of the Appalachian Area Chapter of Blacksmiths (AACB).
Robert created a presentation grade pipe tomahawk, which is forged from mild steel with a forge welded carbon steel bit. The handle is curly maple. The head and handle are both inlayed with sterling silver. The tomahawk is a functioning pipe hawk with a cleanout port, also made from sterling silver, on the cap.
Robert’s creation would fit well into any contemporary longrifle era collection, and one which anyone appreciating fine art would be proud to own.
