F&I War, New England Style Powder Horn by Lee Larkin

This heavily engraved horn by Lee Larkin is roughly 15½ in. on the outside curve including the turned base plug. The carved spout is 3 in. long and features a flared, faceted spout and engrailing on the front shoulder. The base plug stands 2 in. tall and is turned from maple; it features a staple for the rear strap attachment.

The engraving features two rhymes: the “I Powder …” and “Tis Best Abroad….” There are two serpentine-vine floral/geometric panels and an additional panel with the plan of Ft. Wm Henry. Made to be used (right side carry) tip up in the New England manner or displayed on your shelf.
