The 20th annual History Meets the Arts (HMTA) show & sale
will be held at Gettysburg College, June 9-11 2017 in historic Gettysburg, PA.
Produced by Lord Nelson's Gallery, you'll meet over 30 artists in person during
this three day event. Artists include painters, sculptors and traditional 18th
century period accoutrement makers, in addition to accomplished historical book
authors. The artists represent a wide variety of genres including 18th &
19th century periods, Native American, wildlife, landscape, nautical, and more.
This will be your opportunity to see and purchase the latest
original paintings and speak to the artists in person. You can discover more in
depth information about one of the attending author's books, or learn how a
sculpture is created from the original clay to the completed bronze. Then
explore contemporary 18th century period accoutrements made by some of the
country’s finest artisans. Discover the art in powder horns, porcupine
quillwork, hand forged knives, tomahawks, flintlock longrifles, colonial era
pottery, canvas floor-cloths and more
