Brian Anderson Pipe Tomahawk

The axe is forged from old wrought iron, filed, and etched slightly to enhance the grain. My copy is wrought iron with a steel bit in the cutting edge - if you look closely you can see where the iron stops and the steel shows The haft is curly maple with a turned horn mouthpiece.

Brian's axe was inspired by this pipe tomahawk in The British Museum that was featured on the blog in April 2011.

Copy by Brian Anderson with photos by Jan Riser.
