21st Annual Arts and Arms Making Workshop at Conner Prairie

Guests from all over the country enjoy a rare opportunity to work closely with some of the nation's best craftsmen in creating authentic, 19th-century crafts and trades. We offer 5 day classes, 2 ½ day classes and weekend classes as well on a variety of subjects. The class sizes are small, the facilities are well-equipped, and the classes can be taken whether you are a beginner or a pro.

New this year is an expansion of our popular horn working class with basic horn work; a 2 ½ day knifesmithing class; a weekend blacksmithing class; and a weekend class in flint knapping.

We also offer classes in:
  • Decorative Techniques for Redware Pottery
  • Basic Blacksmithing (silver wire inlay)
  • Flintknapping
  • Inkle Weaving
  • Pottery
  • Leather Work
  • Folding Knife
  • Advanced Horn Work
  • Forging Gun Mounts
  • Building Set Triggers
  • Bead Working
  • Basic Horn Work (engraving, stock carving, kit assembly)
