Woodbury School

There are a number of highly talented artists who choose to create in the roll of the traditionalist. Rarest among the group are the individuals who are able to successfully invent entirely original works. Unique forms which can still convince the audience that the old and new are still one. It is appropriate that we begin our new blog with one of the best known and most influential builders of our time, Hershel House the founder of the Woodbury School. Hershel along with his brothers Frank and John and cousin William White have established themselves as builders of some of the finest rifles and accouterments available. The pictures were taken by Jan Riser during a visit with Hershel at his home in Woodbury, Kentucky.
