Milestone Auctions: DAVID HUGHES CONTEMPORARY FLINTLOCK PISTOL
SERIAL NUMBER N/A BARREL 10" CALIBER .50SMOOTHBORE MANUFACTURED CIRCA 2000. Handcrafted by David Hughes of Gibsonia Pa, with part round / octagon brass smoothbore barrel. L&R brown finished flint lock. Striped maple one piece stock with brass furniture, ugly face butt cap and barrel retained by 2 keyed wedges. Signed in script on top barrel flat "D.HUGHES" Pistol closely resembles a Knoll Pa, flint pistol of the 1810 period.
CONDITION. Good with some oxidation and corrosion from being fired and not properly cleaned. Wonderful wood and fit with properly operating lock. An elegant contemporary pistol.
