Many of you know that my father, Jon Laubach, was the driving force behind my CNCed locks coming to reality. It did take much longer than we all had hoped. However, we are finally producing locks that are not using cast parts and are utilizing hand forged springs. Unfortunately, Dad passed away and never got to see the finish product. Many times throughout this journey he told me “ I just want lock #1.”
Well, here is lock #1.
I decided to have lock #1 engraved in memory of my father and biggest supporter, Jon Laubach. I knew the artisan for the job was Mark Thomas...
Upon my request, Mark accepted and outdid himself. I cannot thank him enough. Lock #1 has been incredibly engraved and cold chiseled in remembrance of my father. Mark has helped to create something that honors my fathers memory, and reminds me of his unwavering support of my dream coming to reality. I am honored.
