Loomed Glass Bead Pouch by Wallace McElheney.

Above is an example of one of Wallace's newer commissioned pieces.  It is a black dyed German tanned deer hide pouch with a loom beaded glass panel sewn to the pouch body with a loom beaded strap.  It is typical of a Haudenosaunee Revolutionary War and late 18th Century period pouches.  I made this pouch for a member of the New York Indian Department Reenacting group, based at Fort Niagara

Wallace creates reproductions of 18th Century Native American pouches that reside in various museums around the world.
