Length: 15 1/2 inches

Butt: 2 5/8 inch turned Rosewood

Throat: Engrailed fish mouth edge followed by a 4 1/2 inch round throat with applied horn tip

Plug: 1 1/2 inch turned cow horn

Carvings: Federal Eagle biting on banner with E. Plurebus Unum/Running deer/ Two running dogs/ Moon with 7 stars/ Gen'l Jackson on horse holding sword/Indian shooting bow/ Banner stating Old Hick'ry and Gen'l Jackson/Tansel geometric design element/Maker's mark

Montgomery and all of his advance party except Aaron Burr and a French guide were killed by a single cannon shot as they attacked in a blizzard under the cliffs below the plains of Abraham.
