Silver Mounted Buffalo Powder Horn by Jack Brooks
This buffalo powder horn is made in the style of John Small of Vincennes, Indiana. Small was a noted gunsmith working during the Revolution until he died in 1821. All of the metal is sterling silver. The 3 1/4"1/2" base cap is engraved with a mythical fish swimming through a group of flowers, vines, and tendrils. The cap is engraved "J S BROOKS 2011". The buffalo horn is 14 1/2" long.
George Washington Silhouette by Eileen Hughes
In this 18th century silhouette art, Eileen first sketches the silhouette of her subject then she cuts it out of silhouette paper with tiny scissors. She does period characters and modern work as well. She is a graduate student of Bard in New York, she lives in Newburgh, New York. Eileen is the daughter of Honest Brother Dave Hughes.
