Vee Jones

Waynesville, NC – Vee Jones, 98, passed away Friday, November 13, 2015 at the Haywood Regional Medical Center. He was born in Jackson County on May 22, 1917 to the late Samuel and Margaret Watson Jones.

Vee honorably served his country in the United States Army. He retired from Lea Industries after 40 years of service. He was a friend to many throughout his life and will be missed by all.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 77 years, Launa Jones; son, Samuel Jones and his wife Sandra of Waynesville; sister, Norma Winchester of Waynesville; two grandchildren, Rita Rathbone and her husband Matthew of Raleigh and Leslie Jones and his wife Jane of Waynesville.

Funeral Services will be held at 2 PM on Tuesday, November 17, 2015 in the Chapel of Garrett Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 17, 2015 from 1 pm to 2 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be held at Rocky Branch Cemetery.
