This bag is a very early styled Southern bag of one piece construction.
It is made of calfskin and trimmed in pigskin. The bag is about 7 X
8 1/2 inches and is unlined. There is no internal pocket. Attached
to the bag is a very simple horn; of about 14 inches with a carved trumpeted
spout and bee hive plug of ash wood. The outfit has an accoutrement set
consisting of a pan brush, vent pick, and powder measure tucked inside.
The attached knife was made by Nathan at Conner Prairie. The outfit
is put together in "Horse Trooper" fashion where the horn is attached
directly to the bag. It is made to be worn high up under the right arm.
